1. What the Full Copy of the Marriage Record includes and its purpose

The Full Copy of the Marriage Record is a complete duplicate of the original Marriage Record. This means that it includes all essential information regarding the celebration of the marriage and the spouses, such as the personal details of the spouses, and the date and location of the ceremony. Furthermore, it includes all the annotations required by law (for example, any community or separation of property regime,  postnuptial agreements, or any information regarding separation or divorce) and any other information recorded on the original Marriage Record (for example, the spouses’ residence; or, if the marriage was celebrated with a religious rite, the name of the minister who officiated it and the name of the church where the ceremony took place).
